Swayam Siddhi College and Management and Research organized a CSR activity on Saturday, 8th October, 2022 : a visit to an Orphanage named Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Adivasi Seva Mandal Sanchalit Anudanit Ashram Kharbao Bhiwandi.
Under this event efforts were made to support the initiatives in the area of Education, Health, Livelihood and Environment. We extended our business mission of SAHYOG to our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR); to facilitate the implementation of impact based social development solutions.
As we entered the ashram, we noticed that the children’s life is a struggle against the hardships of survival. Their heartwarming welcome , in spite of the odds, made our hearts skip a beat.
This noble cause of spreading smiles and happiness among these less privileged children, gave immense peace and happiness to our team of students. Our students conducted a cultural program to entertain them and played various games with them . This made the environment lively and lighter. It touched a few cords in the hearts of the children of the orphanage. The students interacted with the kids in the orphanage which made them feel included and accepted in the society.
We had carried with us a bounty of gifts like field game kits , toys, a meal, personal products, useful items for the orphanage and medicines. Our team spent some quality time with the children in the orphanage and it was the most worthwhile time ever spent. There were around 500 children in the orphanage with few caretakers and a few in charge.
It was a wonderful experience to spend time with the children . This was an unforgettable visit for our students.
