In order to secure admission to first year of two-year full time MBA/ MMS program, the candidate should fulfil the following eligibility criteria:
Passed with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (45% in case of candidates of backward class categories belonging to Maharashtra State only(SC/ST/NT/DT/VJ/OBC)) in any Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities

OR
Appeared for the final year examination of any Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities. Such candidates can be considered for provisional admission subject to passing the Degree exam with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (45% in case of candidates of backward class categories belonging to Maharashtra State only).

Step 1 (Registration Online & Verification Offline) : Announcement of dates for Registration of CAP Rounds & Document Verification at Facilitation Centres
As DTE has announced the CAP rounds process dates candidates need to fill and submit the Online Application Form and visit the Facilitation Centres in person to complete the Documents Verification process. 

 

  • Candidates who have already registered/ appeared for MAH-CET and wish to participate in the DTE CAP rounds need to login as an New Registration

  • Candidates who have taken CMAT/CAT/GMAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA and want to participate for the DTE CAP rounds can also click on New Registration, fill the Application form and pay the Application fees to register for the DTE CAP rounds.

  • All the Candidates (Already Registered/New Registrations) should confirm the Application Form in person at Facilitation Centres only as per schedule. Do not send by post.

STEP 2: Display of Provisional Merit List on DTE website

Step 2 (Online): Display of Provisional Merit List on DTE website 
Once all the verification is complete the Provisional merit list is published based on the candidates’ entrance test performance, category and University type. Candidates are advised to check all the details mentioned (Name, Registration Details, Candidature Type Details, Home University & Reservation Details, Qualification Details, All India Exam Detail) 
In case of any discrepancies; candidates can submit their grievances at the Facilitation Centres. A candidate needs to visit the Facilitation Centre again and rectify the error. This process needs to be completed within the window period announced by DTE. 

STEP 3: Display of Final Merit List and Category-wise Seats availability

Step 3 (Online) : Display of Final Merit List on DTE website and available Category-wise Seats (Seat Matrix) for CAP Rounds I, II and III.
After the rectification Window period is over, DTE shall display the Final Merit List on the website. Make a note of the State General Merit Number & All India Merit Number as this shall be considered for Online CAP round seat allotment.

Step 4: Submission and confirmation of online option form for CAP (Round I, II, and III)

 Candidates need to login with the registered user id and password to fill and Confirm Online Option Form with preferences of Courses and Institutions before CAP Round. Candidates may fill in minimum 1 and maximum 300 choices of Institutes and Courses in decreasing order of their preference.

 Points to remember:

  • Allotment against the first available option in the order of preference filled in shall be retained as final allotment. The serial number of block in the option form indicates preference of choice. Thus, the choice code of the institute filled by the candidate in block No. 1 will be his/her first preference (Highest Priority Choice).

This year Candidates can edit the Online Submission & Confirmation of Option Form for each CAP Round (I, II, III and additional round) by using candidates Login through the website unlike last year.

Candidate shall confirm the submitted on-line Option Form himself/herself by re-entering Application ID and Password. The candidate can take a printout of the confirmed Option form for his record and future reference.

Step 5: Allotment of Seats for CAP I, II and III

 

The below process of Provisional allotment shall be followed for CAP Rounds I, II, and III as per DTE website

Candidate needs to submit the Online Submission & Confirmation of Option Form himself/herself for CAP Round- I by using candidate’s Login by through the admission portal

DTE shall display Provisional Allotment of CAP Round I indicating allotted institute and Course.

Reporting to the Admission Reporting Center(ARC) as per Allotment of CAP Round I: Reporting and accepting the offered seat as per the allotment of the CAP Round I by the Candidate at Admission Reporting Centre. Before accepting the allotted seat, we suggest all the candidates to check the ‘Freeze’, ‘Slide’ or ‘Float’ options introduced by DTE for MBA/MMS CET CAP rounds. (If seat is allotted, Report to Admission Reporting Centre (ARC), Select Freeze/Slide/Float option. Produce Original Documents for Verification & Pay Seat Acceptance Fee in the form DD.) Refer Instructions for Candidates for details.

Note: If candidate fails to report for the acceptance of allotted seat at Admission Reporting Center in scheduled time. It will be treated as if candidate has rejected the allotted seat. However such candidates will be able to participate in subsequent CAP rounds by filling new Option Form.

Display of Vacant Seats for CAP Round-II

From this year, candidate can edit and submit the Online Submission & Confirmation of Option Form for CAP Round- II by using candidate’s Login through the admission portal.

Candidates who do not want to change the options already filled in for CAP Round I or II, their already filled in & confirmed options will be considered for allotment for subsequent rounds.

DTE shall display Provisional Allotment of CAP Round II indicating allotted institute and Course.

Reporting to the Admission Reporting Center(ARC) as per Allotment of CAP Round II: Reporting and accepting the offered seat as per the allotment of the CAP Round II by the Candidate at Admission Reporting Centre. Before accepting the allotted seat, we suggest all the candidates to check the ‘Freeze’, ‘Slide’ or ‘Float’ options introduced by DTE for MBA/MMS CET CAP rounds. (If seat is allotted first time i.e. in Round II, Report to Admission Reporting Centre (ARC), Select Freeze/Slide/Float option. Produce Original Documents for Verification & Pay Seat Acceptance Fee in the form DD.) Refer Instructions for Candidates for details.

The same process as above shall be followed for CAP round III.

 

This year DTE has followed the last year’s process with a few changes* whereby before accepting the allotted seat, a Candidate can opt to ‘Freeze’, ‘Slide’ or ‘Float’ the choice of academic program for subsequent round(s), if any, of seat allocation, as provided below:-

Freeze: Candidates accept the offered seat and they do not want to participate in any further rounds of seat allocation. Such Candidates will not be considered in subsequent rounds of admission.

Slide: Candidates accept the offered seat and indicate that, if admission to the academic program of higher preference is offered within the same Institution, they will accept it. Such Candidates will be considered in subsequent rounds of admission;

Float: Candidates accept the offered seat and indicate that, if admission to an academic program of higher preference in any Institution is offered, they will accept it. Else, they will continue with the currently accepted academic program. Such Candidates will be considered in subsequent rounds of admission;

For Candidates who choose the Float or Slide option, and secures a seat of his choice of higher preference, then it would automatically result in the forfeiture of the seat accepted by the Candidate in the earlier round;

Sliding and Floating options will not be available to a Candidate who is offered admission to his first choice.

*If candidate fails to report for the acceptance of allotted seat at Admission Reporting Center in scheduled time. It will be treated as if candidate has rejected the allotted seat. However such candidates will be able to participate in subsequent CAP rounds by filling new Option Form.

Step 6 : Reporting and confirming admission at the Institute
A Candidate needs to Report to the Allotted Institute and confirm his/her Admission by submitting required documents and remaining fees, if any, as per Final Allotment.

Step 7 : Additional CAP round for MBA/MMS 2017-19
This year DTE has announced an additional CAP round which is for all candidates who have CAP Merit Number and are desirous of participating in this Additional Round. 

  • The schedule for Additional Round for Government/Govt. Aided Institutes only is published here

  • DTE shall display a list of Vacant Seats for additional round like CAP round I, II and III candidates need to Submit & Confirm online option Form for additional Round through candidates by using their Login through the admission portal.

  • This additional CAP round is for all candidates who have CAP Merit Number and are desirous of participating in this Additional Round.

We shall update the IMS Website with the Instructions or other details as per DTE website. Stay tuned.

  1. The List of the institutes identified as Admission reporting Centres (ARC) is available on the website. The candidate can report to any nearest ARC.

  2. Candidates who do not want to change the options already filled in for CAP Round I or II, their already filled in & confirmed options will be considered for allotment for subsequent rounds.

  3. Once the candidate confirms his/her Option form online through his/her Login for the respective admission rounds, Candidate will not be allowed to change/cancel the option/preference submitted under any circumstances.

  4. A Candidate who has been allotted a seat shall download the “Provisional Seat Allotment Letter”

  5. The Seat Acceptance Fee shall be Rs. 5,000/- for Candidates of General Category, VJ/DT, NT, SBC/OBC Category and Rs. 1,000/- for SC, ST Category Candidates. The candidate has to pay the Seat Acceptance Fee during first reporting only. This fee shall be transferred to the institution after deducting Rs. 1,000/- towards processing fee.

  6. The Seat Acceptance fees is to be paid at ARC through ONLINE MODE only. 

  7. Seat will be confirmed by the Admission Reporting Centre (ARC) after verification of the original documents and ensuring that the Candidate meets all the eligibility norms. The centre in-charge shall issue the Online Receipt of seat acceptance to the candidate. 

  8. Allotted Seat will be cancelled if, at any time, any of the documents or certificates is found to be invalid or fraudulent and/or the Candidate does not meet the eligibility norms. 

  9. Candidates who want to reject the allocated seat can do so by not remitting the seat acceptance fee at the Reporting Centre in scheduled period. 

  10. For cancellation of admission before reporting to the institution, the candidate shall apply to the Admission Reporting Center to which he has paid Seat Acceptance Fee. 

  11. Candidates are advised to ensure before applying for the admission to the MBA/MMS programme in a particular University that he/she is eligible for admission to the programme as per the relevant Eligibility Rules of that University.

  12. If candidate fails to report for the acceptance of allotted seat at Admission Reporting Center in scheduled time. It will be treated as if candidate has rejected the allotted seat. However such candidates will be able to participate in subsequent CAP rounds by filling new Option Form.

  1. Candidate can avail the facilities for filling & confirmation of online option/preference form free of cost at Facilitation Centre (FC).

  2. All ARC’s shall remain open on all days including holidays and Sundays for confirmation of admission during the schedule.
