SIGNIFICANCE of  THE PROGRAM:  The purpose of celebrating Women’s Day is “ To raise awareness about the status and dignity of women among the staff “

 

8th March, is considered as International Women’s Day. This day brings about many thoughts for a  women – a cause for celebration, a reason to pause and re-evaluate a remembrance, an inspiration and a time to honour, loved and admired.  To honor womanhood, SSCMR organized a small felicitation program for all the female staff.

 

All the women staff working in the college teaching and non-teaching staff were cordially invited to join the program. The event was conducted under the guidance of our Director .Dr. Arloph and Night College Principal Dr. G.Shikhare.

Prof Prasenjit was the anchor for the program . He introduced the womens day by paying glorious tributes to various popular and famous women leaders of India  who have made women of today proud of their contribution .

Dr. Arloph .J (DIRECTOR) graced the occasion by giving a motivational speech for the entire female faculty. He said that woman has a major role in shaping the society. A woman is an idol which should be respected by both family and society. Women are not less than any men in any field. They can be anything which they want to be and they will excel in any field of work. Today our country's working women is a pilot, CEO, soldier. He quoted a forward he received on whats app which said “ Feminism isn’t about making women strong . Women are already strong ,Its about the way the world perceived that strength” .  

 

Later on Prof Uzma Momin did share her thoughts of how men did support every woment in her family and her neighbourhood . She did speak about the contribution and support man has given to every women to ensure a women does explore her potential to the full. Each and every women staff was given an opportunity to speak about her thoughts on Womens day.

Later , each and every women staff of SSCMR was felicitated with rose  by the Principal of Nigh degree college , Dr G .S Shikhare followed by a cake cutting ceremony  to spread sweetness and also to honour the women staff .  This enjoyment of the cake cutting ceremony was further amplified with beautiful   words of appreciation for women by  Dr  G S Shikhare . The felicitation ceremony ended with a Vote of thanks by Prof Prasenjit.
